In 2001-2002, the Division of Community Services at Copiah-Lincoln Community College served over 25,000 individuals from the college service area and beyond through various programs and services.
The Adult Education Department
Served approximately 1,050 students in classes hosted at various locations throughout the college district (a college record).
Administered the General Educational Development (GED) test at the college to more than 600 individuals.
Received Workforce Investment Act Youth Services Grant, funded through Southcentral Mississippi Works and the local Workforce Investment Board, which allowed over 30 disadvantaged students to attend Copiah-Lincoln Community College in basic skills and/or Vocational/Technical training.
Established a new Skills for Success Lab on the Natchez Campus to assist Adult Basic Education (ABE) and Vocational-Technical students in upgrading their reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
Maintained the Mississippi Virtual GED On-Line website for the state of Mississippi allowing learners from across the state access information about the ABE/GED program and the GED test.
